All Night Adoration at St. Dominic Church |

All Night Adoration will begin on March 5th, First Friday, at about 9:00 PM and last until 7:30 AM the following morning. Most people stay for about one or two hours and engage in meditation (focused thought on a Christian subject) and contemplation (open, unfocused listening) while others practice "lectio divina" (praying the scriptures: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lectio_Divina), or spiritual reading. Silence is essential for these activities. To stimulate these activities we will have a brief reading from a psalm at 9:00 PM, Midnight, 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Adoration will be at the Main Altar due to work in the Lady Chapel. Everyone will be encouraged to sit in the choir stalls at the Main Altar. Access will be the same as it has been for the last few months.
